We are happy to share a story that has been developing over the last year, which feels life-changing to Red Horse Center as an organization and community member.

We are sharing the story of Juniper’s Retreat House, a story that connects to our history and recent past, while also bringing light and peace to our future. It holds the contributions Red Horse can make to our community, while it reflects the immense support our community has shown us.

Juniper’s Retreat House is coming to life…

We will never forget the feeling of being seen, heard, and supported while many voices expressed a shared vision of peaceful space for powerful work, building on what has been started in our little nook in the world. Our gratitude and appreciation are immense and indescribable.

To the many people who made this possible, from the generous donors, to the friends and professionals who listened, shared, supported, and advised us, to our board and volunteers, and of course, to our neighbors — our hearts are full — THANK YOU.

Below are some excerpts from a short piece we created to share Juniper’s House with our Giving Circle. Following that, you’ll find opportunities to join and support the effort.

Juniper's Dreamers and the JRH Wishlist

We have a creative, supportive team of dreamers, helping to imagine, design, and furnish Juniper’s house to accommodate all this dreamy purpose. If you’d like to share your ideas or pitch in to the effort, you can keep visiting here for updates, wish lists and opportunities to help.

The list below has items we’re either considering or shopping for.

Supporters who would like to add suggestions to the list can enter items via this form: tinyurl.com/WishJRH

We’re using the status of “Acquired, Approved for Purchase and “Considering” to help identify the difference between ideas we’re considering and items that are queued up and ready for purchase, either by us or our generous donors.

Red Horse Team Members: You can also add/edit the invite-only, behind-the-scenes board here.

The delivery address is Juniper’s House, c/o Red Horse Center, 6171 122nd Ave., Fennville, MI 49408

If you send something, please let us know, so we can thank you and mark it off on the list. Thanks in advance!

Style Guide

We’re still working on collecting ideas, colors and materials that will contribute to the feel of this space.  We lean towards natural, rustic materials that have a sense of rural, rustic charm.  Similarly, our colors are often earth tones that feel connected to the landscape in some way.  We also believe that a good blend of new and old pieces will help bring a sense of comfort and lived-in feel.   We’ll update this as we can, but feel free to ask questions and consider items with a well-lived history as well as the new ones.
