At Red Horse, we firmly believe in the transformative power of collaborative healing through horses, art and experiential learning to aid in personal and professional development. Through the gentle strength and intuitive nature of horses, we witness breakthroughs in individuals and groups looking for a path to wholeness.
In May, we are participating in a fundraiser called “Seen Through Horses” that is bringing together like-minded nonprofits to form one national campaign to bring awareness to equine-assisted services supporting mental health. Each nonprofit is gathering their own individual ambassadors to fundraise on their behalf in order to expand their reach and impact, while collaborating on an expansive awareness campaign. Our collective goal is to make more horse-related healing available and accessible to more people nationwide, while supporting our fellow practices.

We love horses, we imagine you do too. Their healing power is unquestionable. We know incorporating horses in mental health sessions can help individuals see a brighter, happier life as we get to witness these incredible transformations daily through the work we do in our program.
That’s why we’ve joined an exciting national fundraising and awareness campaign, Seen Through Horses, benefiting Red Horse Center for Collaborative Leadership alongside 75+ nonprofit organizations.
This campaign is designed for people like you: people who know the role horses can play in healing, and who have a passion for helping others. To achieve this, we are asking you to become a fundraising volunteer during Mental Health Awareness Month, May 1-31, 2024 to raise funds for Red Horse Center.
The funds you raise will directly benefit Red Horse in many ways, including:
- Horses Empowering Youth
- Horses for Hospitality
- Herd Support

Horses for Hospitality
Thru Michigan Beer
Breweries and retailers of Michigan Beer are signing up to join the fun, bringing awareness and funds to the Michigan Hospitality industry.
The hospitality industry is a service industry that hosts people from all walks of life, while making, providing and serving food, drink and experiences.
With our experience and relationships, we are quite familiar with the stress, fatigue, burnout and trauma that can live within that community. In partnering with brewers and retailers of Michigan beer, we are working to spread awareness that the wellbeing of the people in this community is important and that care, support and education is available, accessible and worthwhile. By raising money, we’re also able to reduce costs for workshops, retreats and trainings that can contribute to people having more resources and improved workplace culture.
How it works:
Brewers & Retailers: Brew or identify a Michigan brewed beer (or several) as your Horses for Hospitality – Beer of the Month for May, 2024, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month.
Pledge at least $1 per pint (or your chosen equivalent) for the month, to be donated to Red Horse Center, through the Seen Through Horses Campaign. (Fundraising goals begin at $500 per profile)
Matching Donors
Sustaining our programs and reaching more beneficiaries relies heavily on the support of generous individuals like yourself.
Would you like to add momentum for our fundraising campaign by offering matching donations activated by our team reaching certain milestones?
We believe your involvement as a matching donor could significantly amplify our efforts. Each ambassador is being asked to raise $500 or more. Your contribution will serve as an inspiration for others to join us in our cause, increasing the impact of every donation made.
By becoming a matching donor, you will not only help us raise crucial funds but also demonstrate your commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those who benefit from our work.
There are a few ways to match donations, and we’re glad to discuss the right path for you or your organization.
- Milestone Match: Set an fixed amount you’d like to contribute, and we’ll connect it with a fundraising milestone, and activate it when our team reaches the goal. $500 minimum.
- Individual Match: Support one of our ambassadors by matching a milestone or their total amount raised.
- Campaign Match: Set a dollar per dollar amount to match the entire campaign. We’ve raised over $5,000 the last two years. You could match the entire campaign or set a percentage that you’ll match. (Ie, $.50 for every dollar would contribute $2,500 on a total of $5,000 raised.)
